First Theatrical Run at the Tivoli Cinema in Kansas City Begins September 24

If you live in or near Kansas City, you’ll be the first to be able to see the film outside of a festival setting or a special screening! Starting September 24, the Tivoli Cinema in Westport will be showing the film for a week-long run. I met Jerry Harrington, the Tivoli’s owner, at the Kansas City FilmFest in April where “Louis” was awarded Best Feature Documentary. If it’s a successful run, the Tivoli may run it longer and it could encourage other arthouse theaters around the country to book the film.

This is an especially sweet development for me because as a student at the University of Kansas in nearby Lawrence, I spent a lot of time in Kansas City, never having an inkling that I would return one day as a film producer and director. Thanks for your faith and vision, Jerry!

UPDATE: What started out as a one-week engagement has stretched into FOUR weeks…over 1,500 people came out the first weekend to see the film, thanks in large part to a great review in the Kansas City Star http://miniurl.com/59484
